ESCAPE OF A PRISONER. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TILEGEAM.) NAPIER, January 29. Ralph Peterson, who was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence for assaulting a constable by striking him on the head with a bottle, escaped from custody whilst being conveyed to "Wellington. As the train, was pulling out of Porirua station he eluded the warder and leant from the train. Peterson, who is 23 years of age, is very small in stature, has flaxen hair, and is freely tattooed on the arms.
