• The Sydenham and Suburban Cooperative Money Club held its annual meeting last evening in the Methodj-st Schoolroom, Brougham street. Tho • president (Mr Didley) occupied tho chair,.and there were 55 members preThe report stated-that the share list closed with 1057 members, holding • «Q3 shares. The number of loans granted was 114, amounting to £4091 3s 4d, making a grand total since the foundation of the Club of £285,923 11s 'd. The present number of borrowers on the books was 213, and the total amount of interest £1258 4s l,ld The total receipts for the half-year were £12,118 12s 4d. The sum of £333 19* 2d had been disbursed in payment of accounts, salaries, etc., leaving a credit balance of £1141 190 4d. The committee, lecommended that a. dividend at the rate of 8d in the £ be added to each complete 10s standing to a^ibera , credit on December 31st, 19184 that amounts over the £100 rewire dividends at the rate of 5 per " cent, per annum on each complete 10s tor the half-year; that the auditors ~' committee receive the usual f bonus, and that the balance, after , nayiog interest oa deposits, be carried x< i ionrard. * ,Tt© report and balahce-ehcet were " adopted, the chairman congratulating: ' v ' "I 6 ?."6 , * on the successful operations « the club.
