There was a strong current in ' the river at the time, and the body was carried out to sea, and has not yet been recovered. Several playmates witnessed %he accident. Deceased's parents reside at the seaside. j NAPIER, January 29. David Wynd, chief engineer of the steamer Mamnri, now loading in the bay, was found in a bunker this morning. It is supposed that ho fell into the bunker while on a tour of inspection. He was removed to the hospital, where he died this evening. Hβ was 35 years of age. and Iraves a wife and four children, who are living in London.
