The Privy Council dismissed the>ppcal by South Australia in the case concern , ag the boundary between that - State and Victoria. The boundary i* meridian 141, but when tho State of., Victoria was constituted, the astroa- : omical survey .placed Hhe 141 st meridian in tho wrong position. The question to bo decided was whether the boundary was to bo fixed by the actual position of the mqridian or by the position which it now wrongly occapifeeaocordiug to survey. . , : r Their Lordships found that both Executives intended to fix tho boundaries finally when they accepted Wade'aiine,* and quoted the action of the Lieuten-ant-Governor of South Australia in claiming it. in 1847 as the line fixed as near to the theoretical line a* the scientific appliances of the time per- • mittod. . .."-.■■'•
