SHIPPING CASUALTIES.
SCHOONER ABANDONED. GALLANT RESCUE OF CREW. (By Cable—Pr*»R Ai—irfsfinn.— Copvi , '" l, *-' NEW YORK, January 28. Captain l>ean and five of the crew of tho schooner Anna Banks, which was abandoned five hundred miles south-east of Cape Race, have arrived aboard the steamer Indrania. During tremendous seas the chief officer, Mr White, and five of the Indrania's men, launched a boat, but were uuable to reach the schooner owing to tho waves. The crew of the Anna Banks thereupon leaped into the sea and the boat picked them up safely. REFUSED~TO LEAVE. (Received January 29th. 10.23 p.m.) NEW YORK, January 28. The steamer Frutera tried to rescue those on board Mr F. Vanderbilt's yacht Warrior, but the heavy seas capsized and smashed her boats. She then wirolessly called the steamer Almirante, which rescued all on board excepting tho crew, who refused to leave. Their fate is unknown.
