The vessel will leave on Saturday for Wellington, from which port she will take her departure for London on February 5 th. The New Zealand Shipping- Company's liner K&ikoura. left London on January 22nd for Lyttelton, via Cape Town, llobart, and Wellington. The vessel is expected at this port on March 17th. On Saturday next the New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Hurunui is to leave Wellington for Dunedin for Homeward loading. The vessel proceeds next to Auckland to finish, and will sail from that port for London. Among the arrivals at Lyttelton yesterday was the Norwegian steamer Sverrc, from Newcastle, with a cargo of coal. When tho vessel left the coal port ehe was bound for Wellington, but as the northern port ie well supplied with outside coal at, tho present time, she was signalled Ho proceed to Lyttelton. Her cargo of about 5000 tons :a consigned to Messrs J. A. Redpath and Co. At present discharging at Wellington, ihe Tyser Line's eteamer Star of India from New York, via Australian ports and Auckland, ia expected at Lyttelton at the end of the proeent week. After unloading the local portion of her cargo, the vessel proceeds to Dunedin to complete discharge, subsequently commencing "Homeward loading. . Arrival at Wellington of tho Union Company's st«»mer Aorangi, from San Fruncisco, will be mado to-morrow the veesel being a dsy behind her timetab.e. She ia to leave for Sydney on Saturday evening. It having been decided that the Te Anau, which until recently was used by the watcreido workers as a houeeboat, shall return to Wellington, a crew is being signed on, and tlra vessel will leave Lyttelton to-day. The Kamona is expected to tail to-morrow for the West Coast to lord coal. It is stated that no fewer than fifteen large eteamers have been specially chartered by the Vacuum Oil Company to load case cil at New York for Australian ports. In addition to theee vessels the" company also h»8 a number of steamers and sailing vessels to lond for New Zealand. Running under charter to the Vacuum Oil Company, the steamer Volga :« to leave Lyttelton at noon to-day for Wellington, where ehe will complete discharge. She will then commence loading wool for London, on behalf of the N«w Zealand Shipping Company. Among the latest charters announced are: —Manurewa, barque, 327 tone, Clarence Eiver to New Zealand porta —hardwood. Joan Craig, s.s., 1148 tons, Port Stephens *o Melbourne—hardwood; thence Clarence Eiver to Lytte'.ton—hardwood.
