; « ,_. MONTHLY MEETING. The North Canterbury Hospital* arid Charitable Aid Board met yesterday. Present —Messrs F. Horreli (chairman), T. D. Boag, H. B. Sorensfen, G. Scott, W: H. Cooper, W. W. Tanner, 0. Bradley, W. McMillan, H. J. Otley, R. Moore. A. H. TurnbuU, J. D. Hall, D McMillan. W. Spencer, J. Ashley, J. J. Davison, Dr. u'enwick, and Mrs Christie. The invitation of the City -ouncil for the Board to bo represented at tho municipal Sunday church service was acccptdd. Mr T. Harrison wrote resigning his seat on the Board. The Inspector-Genenal of Hospitals wrote expressing his. willingness to assist tho Board to acquire a portion of the Christchurch Domain. Tho Seiwyn County Council wrote declining to pay a contribution of £10 per annum for sanitary inspection. . Dr. Fox was appointed a member of the honorary consulting staff of the Hospital. Tho Institutions Committee reported having accepted thc -tender of Messrs J. Smith and Son, Ashburton. at £408, for tho extension of accommodation at Tuarangi Home. The Finance Committee reported that it had accented the tender of H. Pearco at £274 for the oreetion of the covered way to connect with the isolation block. During December the following work was done at tho dontal departmr f;-.—Fillin-z-R 74, dressings 52, other operations 51, operations under anesthetics 21, total number tious 146, patients supplied with artificial dentures 6, attendances 179, fresh patients examined 19. The following Boards will send representatives to the proposed conference with regard to tho treatment of consumptives from other districts at the Cashmere Hills Sanatorium:—Ashburton, South Canterbury, Westland. The Grey Board is uncertain, and tho Inangahua Board, whilst being in accord with the proposal, cannot send representatives. Tho North Canterbury Board was recommended by the Public Health Committee yesterday to hold the conference on Tuesday. March 3rd, and the committee asked that representatives be appointed. The recommendation was adopted by the Board,
