RATIONALISTS' ASSOCIATION.
o» '" The annual general meeting of the New Zealand Rationalists' Association was held in tho Caledonian Society's rooms, Worcester street, on. Tuesday evening, when between 40 and 50 member, were present. Tho Chairman, in opening the tneeting, drew attention to tho absence of Mr W. W. Collins through ill-health, and-expressed the wish for his Speedy recovery, which was heartily endorsed by those present. The rep6rt and balance-sheet for the past year was submitted, and after discussion was finally adopted. A discussion afterwards took place on the best means of furthering the work of the Association, the ultimate opinion being in favour of the dissemination of Rational literature, and the introduction, whenever, possible, of the Association's official organ, the "Examiner." Appreciative reference was also made by the chairman and others to the years of. splendid service rendered to the cause of Rationalism by Mr W. W. Collins. A discussion also took place as to thq advisability of starting open-air propaganda work. Several members took part in the. discussion, a motion in favour of such work being carried. The secretary reported a substantial increase of membership for the year.
