TEMUKA GRAIN MARKET.
During tho past week thero has been a good deal of enquiry for new season's grain for forward delivery, but merchants are not inclined to accept some of the prices offered. Old produce is becoming pretty well cleared out, and good business, at reduced prices, is expected as soon as th-e new stuff comes on th© market. Old wheat is quieter, Velvet being hard to sell at 4s, while Tuscan and red chaff are bringing about 3s Bd. FowL wheat is easier, the demand having gone off somehow. Old oats have now come down almost to the level of new season's, and old A Gartons have been bought at Is 8d to Is 9d on trucks. The new season's crop is expected to open at Is 7d to Is 'idSeveral samples of the new season's ryegrass, all fairly light, have heen offered during tho week, and prices rang© from Is 9d to 2s 3d, according to quality.
