(Received January 28th, 0.5 a.m.) LONDON, January 27. It is reported that the police are sending an officer on a fast boat to overtake the steamer Grampian at St. Johns. They are in wireless communication with the. steamer. The suspect aboard tho Grampian gave the name of George Rogers, Market street, Huntingdon. It was discovered that both name and address were fake. After visiting a solicitor on Monday Reeks remained at his hotel, but learning that Ramsden had gone to Leeds he made a parcel of his pyjamas and brushes, and left the hotel, to which ho never returned The police traced Rauisden at I*eeds, but lie could throw no light on the tragedy. He stated that R-ceks was a casual acquaintance. They met at a Liverpool hot-el on Saturday and parted on Monday. The police, are satisfied with Ramsden's story.
