(Before Messrs T. A. B. Bailey, S.M., and G. W. Whiteside, J.TP.) E. W. Ivory admitted crossing the railway at Ashley street when a train was approaching, and was lined ss, and costs 7s. L. W. Wilkie, for shooting two "wild ducks out of season, was fined 40s, with costs 7b. The Sefton Dairy Produce Association (Mr Van Aschj admitted a breach of the Factories' Act in not keeping a wages and overtime book; also with, paying W. Petting £2 7s per week when the award rate was £2 15s, and J . Wilson £2 10s when the rate was £3 ss. The two men were also charged with accepting less wages than the award rate. For omitting to keep a time book, the company was fined 40s and costs 7s, and 20s on each information for not paying wages according to the award. The men were each fined os, with costs 7s. Frederick Baker (Mr Wright) claimed £43 10s from Thomas Fraser (Mr Van Aseh), for alleged breach of lease. Plaintiff was nonsuited, with costs £3 15s.
