P. Association, for comat its show, two gold medals to the value of £5 each, one for tho best Clydesdale stallion, any age, registered in the stud book of tbe Clydesdale Society of Great Britain, or in the etnd book of the Clydesdale Horse Society of New Zealand, but not uecessarily in both; the other for tho best Clydesdalo mare, any ago, registered in similar manner to the stallion. A photograph of the one side of on© of th© medals, was enclosed. The offer was made as a result of the efforts of Mr D. G. Wright, of Windermere.—The chairman reported that lie had already, accepted the medals on behalf of the Association, and on the motion of Messrs J. Cow amd C. W. Wood, his action was approved. It was stated that the medals would bo nx-ailable for the autumn show. The secretary reported that the Special Committeo appointed to go into tho matter of sales at the show had met, and recommended that an auction salo of stock be held at 1 o'clock on tho second day.—The recommendation was adopted. Tho secretary and tho auditor were appointed scrutineers for tho general election. Mr C. J. Clayton, Peel Forest, wrote stating that he was prepared to supply an observation hive with beos. and to give a substantial prize in honey for those guessing to tbo nearest correct number of bees in the hive 'at the autumn show; the proceeds from the sale of tickets to be devoted to a prize for most points in . honey section during the following year. If th© Association could induce someone i-o give a special prize for most points in honey section this year, it would increase the number of competitors.—The matter was referred to the Produce Committee. Sixty now members were elected.
