The trotting horses Alphie Iv., Gee Whizz, and Erect Form arrived from Wellington on Sunday morning. F. Holmes lett for fhmedin yesterday with his charges engaged a* the Forbury Park Trotting Meeting. C. Griffin, the Ashburton trainer, who journeyed to Trentham with Chudic and Sveaborg, was taken seriously ill nt tho races on Saturday, and was removed to the Hospital. A Paris message says that the steeplechaser Lupteur 111., winner of the Grand National in 1909. who has latterly been a cripple, has been treated with radium and is now fit. Alexandra Park, who won a doublo nt the Hutt Valley Trotting Club's Meeting, is a big upstanding gelding, 'by tho Sylvia Park, out of a Judge Bekion mare. St. Helen, who is freely nominated for forthcoming two-year-old events, is a bay filly by Boniform —Helen Portland and is an inmate of H. Thompson's stable at Riccarton. Prior to the start for the hurdle race on tho second day at the Foxton Meeting, it was discovered that at least three of the jumps at the back of the course had been lowered. The hurdles were put back to the right height, and the action taken by someone will form the subject of investigation by tho stewards, who opened an enquiry into the matter on the course. Andrea, by Sarto —Brisa, who has been having a long spell on his owner's (Mr D. Rutherford) station, has rejoined the active list at Riccarton. W. Donnellan has arrived nt Riccarton with his two horses, Missile and Merton. .They are the first of the.' outsiders engaged at the C.J.C. Meeting on next Saturday week. These geldings were very successful during the recent Ccast Meetings.
