CHRISTCHURCH POLO CLUB. Tho Christchurch Polo Club opened ite season on the club's ground in Haeley Park on Saturday. There wae a fair attendance of members. His Excellency the Governor and Lady Liverpool were present. A friendly game was played between teams representing Havrarden and Christchurch, and resulted in a win for tho former by 14 goaJs to 3. Tho game was played in six spells. Hawardon tras represented by Messrs G. L. Rutherford, F. and E. Davidson and H. Little, Captains Teschemtikcr and Hutton, Lientenant Tahu Rhodes. Dr. Fox, and Messrs S. L. P. Free and L. Macfarlane played for Christchurch. Mr A. E. G. "Rhodes, President of the clnh, and Mrs Rhodes entertained the visitors and players at afternoon tea.
