TRAMWAY BOARD.

ORDINARY MEETING. The Tramway Board met yesterday. Present —Messrs J. A. Flasher (chairman), Geo. T. Booth, C. M. Gray, l>. Sykes, A. W. Beaven, and H. Pearce. The Works and Traffic Committee reported that the rails for the St. Martin's tramway extension were on board the Turakina, due in a few days. The report was adopted. It was decided to reply to Mr A. Gekenden and others, who asked for a stop'on the New Brighton line at tho corner of Wyon street and Buckley's road, that it was regretted that the request could not be acceded to. In reply to the Beckenham Burgesses' Association's request that the Board should reconsider its decision regarding the. extension of the 2d section to Fisher street, it was decided that the Board could not re-open the subject. The General Manager was empowered to supply the Spreydon Borough Gouncil trith a quotation of the cost of watering Lincoln road from the bridge (terminus) to Jerrold street. The chairman and deputy-chairman wore authorised to sign the contract with. Mr W. Hunt for two motor tower waggons.

Accounts amonnting to £13,067 19s 9d were passed for payment.
