PRESS ON MR ASQUITH'S SPEECH. (Received December 9th, 12.25 a.m.) LONDON, December 8. Several newspapers, reverting to Mr Asquith's Manchester speech, consider it tho turning-point in the direction of peace, and emphasize the urgent need of a spoedy settlement.
