SCHOOL EXCURSIONS.
On Thursday the pupils of the South Springston school and their parents and teachers journeyed by rail and tram to Sumner for theii annual outing. The weather was fine, although the outlook in the morning was not promising. Tie day at the seaside was enjoyed to the full by aIL On Friday the Springston school also visited Suniner. Ov«r eighty ptrpila and a like number of adults made the, trip, which ■waa the moist successful excursion yet held •in connexion with the ecbooL The committeemen and teachers accompanied the children and spared no pains to make the outing , enjoyable."
