IMPROVING POSITION OF LIBERALS. (Received December Bth, 1.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, December 7. The latest available returns have altered the position considerably, and ac many from the country are incomplete and second ballots are required in thirteen electorates, it is capable of stilt much change. Enmore, the seat of Mr Hall, Minister of Justice, is not secure. Mr Lynch, candidate for Ashburnham, and Mr Thrower, who is contesting the Macquarie seat, both of whom are Labourites, will also possibly be defeated, while the Liberals look like losing Bathurst. Mr Moxham (Liberal) has improved his position at Parramattai though a second ballot will be required. In electorates whsre second ballots are needed Liberals are leading in ten and Labour in three. Of a total of ninety seats, including those where second ballots are required, the positions are as follow: LABOUR, won or leading ... ... 45 LIBERAL 43 INDEPENDENT ... 4 (?)
