Oats —There has been a slight improvement in the enquiry for oats, and a fair number of parcels have changed hands during the pa st wook for e . arlv shipment to the North Island. Since tho departure of the Waitomo from Bluff, however, there is now no cKance of a further shipment to Auckland fore tho New Year, consequently the market will remain dull for a time. A Gartons are nominally worth Is B£d at near stations, and B grade Id less. Chaff —A fair demand exists for chaff, and up to £3 5s is being paid for prime quality. •
