At a meeting of the committee of tWo Sydenham Amateur Swimming Club thirteen new members were elected and three xesignationa were- received. A voto of thanks was accorded Mr W. J. Putman. for a cup and Mr A. W. Jones for a gold medal to be competed for during the coming season. It was decided to hold a club fancy dross end novelty carnival on Saturday next, 13th inst. Mr B. McLaughlan announced ho -would eupply a, prize for the best fancy drees. :
