It is estimated • -that between. , twenty and .thirty"receive' provisions, daily. The supplies of milk and bread. recoived-are ample, and - in other goods the supply is. well"ahead, of" the demand. >-' ' ; NEW DRIVERS' UNION, The certificate of ■ registration of the* new Drivers' Uiiion—tfie Christchurch Horse and Commercial Motor Drivers' Union—-has been duly received. 1 The riiies of the new union, which have/ bix'ii passed by the Registrar of Industrial" Unions, provide that "any '."mem- . ber -who is deemed by the executive of * the union to be opposed to the principles of .the Act (the I.C. and A. Act), ! , may * be expelled f ronr the union by baUqt of the' members present at. a" meeting specially called for the purpose." 'The, rute dealing with levies- . provides that levies may be made • to ,meet financial emergencies ''other than , for contributions to any strike fund." TJIE ADDINGtON CAMP. ■All is going; smoothly and quietly at the special constables' camp at the Addington Show Grounds. The men were taken.out for a parade yesterday and much useful drill was. gone through. A batch of reserves were sworn.in by Mr H.W. Bishop, S.M., at .the camp on Thursday, these men relieving a few of the old hands who have been allowed to go on leave for.a time. .■■■'•■ THE STRIKERS , CAMP. The strikers in camp at the northern end of May's road seem to have settled down fairly comfortably. The: section 'on which they are living is, roughly, about half a mile . from the Papanui • road, and on the western side of May's road. The camp is pitched about MOO yards back from the road-line, and consists of a big makeshift kind "of marquee as the sleeping place, while a smaller tent is pitched near by, which acts as a storehouse. A portable boiler has been installed, in which cooking is done, and the whole camp is reasonably oomfortable._. ~ • . ..'"■... v "SPECIAL" STOPPED AT SUMNEr' A mounted "special" who was riding through Sumner on Thursday on his way-to Lyttelton, was", stopped by a party - oi" men. at Sumner who would not" let him continue..
