WELSH RAILWAYMEN'S STRIKE.
THE TROUBLE SPREADING. (By Cable.—Presa Association—Copyright.) LONDON, December 4. Three hundred drivers have struck in the Llanelly district, though tho union officials stato that no strike pay will be allowed. Mr W. H. Thomas urges that their action is unconstitutional. Five hundred men have been rendered idle owing to tho holding-up of the coal waggons at Llanelly. Tho Great Western Railway enginemen at Cardiff strike to-day. All tho mid-Glamorgan collieries have stopped work. Tho ironworks at Neath and Port Talbot are closing through want of coal. The railwaymen at Cardiff and Merthyr have struck. Ten thousand colliers are idle in the Maestog and Bridgend districts. Tho Paddington express has been cancelled.
