Sir Joshua Williams resigns from the Supremo Court Bench as from the 31st of January, and goes Home in February, making tho trip in the Orient linor Otway.
The "Star" points out that his position on tho Judicial Committee of the Privy Council is purely honorary. Ifc carries no salary.

DUXEpiN, December 5. Sir Joshua Williams will travel entirely at his own charge. The duties of his new office are not necessarily strenous, and he may not be called on to sit very often. The conditions do not even require that, he should reside permnnently.in England, and there is -nothing to stop him occasionally taking a trip abi-eid, say, to New Zealand.
