Sir,—Please allow mo to express through tho medium of your valued paper the great pleasure I had in hearing this mm-ly-formed huge choir render "The Messiah." lam not a Methodist, but delight to hear good choral singing, and I think 1 can safely cay the "Chorus" was very fine indeed. I congratulate the Society and wish thoin a successful future, and rejoice to know that "Oratorio" is to bo revived in our city. My object, however, in writing is to endorse the remarks of your critic, viz., that the oomlnittee will not make it a fixed rule to cljoose thoir soloists from their own ranks, anloss bettor singer* cannot be obtamed.-Yourn,
