LAND BOARD.
MONTHLY MEETINO. At the meeting of the Canterbury Land Board, heja on Thursday,-the following additional business was done:— Tho Board- approved tie scheme for the expenditure fourths to the amount of £168, as submitted by the Mount Peel Iload Board. The Board obuld not ccc its way to accept the offer of R.S. 27£>, Blk. VI., Ohrifitchurch. Survey District, comprising 13J acres, in exchange tor Education reserve .1310, Buroq£,d. It was resolved not to subdivide the grazing farms in the Cheviot estate expiring m 1915. This applies to three tarms,. riz., Pet.er Childs's, John Uprichard c, and A. E. I>enton's. The Board approved the scheme of the now settlements, Tava aud Landsdowns, to be opened shortly in South; Canterbnry. ' A deputation of Greta Peaks small grazing rimholdcrs" waited upon the JBoard with reference; to the Board's attitude to those runs, the leases of which had expired- The Board resolved that the present licensees be offered a renewal of their small grazing rights as from March Ist, 1914, a new rental to be fixed. , It was resolved that the lease of pastoral run 243. Ashwick, comprising 11,163 be offered at public auction, and also pastoral run 106, Anama station, Ashburton, containing 7000 acres, and pastoral run 107, Shepherd's Bash, both lately surrendered by W. Chisnall.
It teas deckled to recommend that pastoral runs 222,-2*23. .and 224, "Ashley County, he attain let for pastoral - purposes.-• Section 67 of the Land Act. 1913, gives the lessees the right of renewal.-"/ The levees are:—Messrs Henderson. Brown, Levers, J. Fraser and E. W? Meyer.
