No doubt millers aro now wanting to secure stocks of old wheat for mixing purposes when the now wheat is available, and, at any rate, some of the smaller millers must be getting low in stocks. Tiiough the area in wheat docs not appear to bo j-o largo as last year, the autumn-sown **j*ops are looking well, nud promise a good yield. Tuscan wheat is how worth 3s 7d, Hunters 3s Sd to 3s 9d, and Pearl 3s lOd to 8s lid, and fowl wheat, the latter being in good demand, 3s 6d at country stations. Oats, on the other hand are easier, in view of the near approach of harvest. The early-sown oat crops have done well, but spring crops are uneven. Gartons are not now worth more than is lid to 2s, Duns tho same, Danish ls 9d to ls lOd, and Algerians Is 9d to 2s, at country stations. The demand for chaff has eased off, but is worth £3 15s at country stations. The potato- market has practically closed for tho season, and what are now left are practically unsaleable. fhe undermentioned are the prices paid to farmers at country stations, free of commission, sacks extra, except where otherwise stated:— Wheat —Nominal. Tuscan 3s 7d, Hunters 3 S 8d to 3s 9d, Pearl 3s lOd to 3s lid. Oats—Nominal; Gartons ls lid to 2s, Duns ls lid to 2s. Danish Is 9d to la iOd, Algerians ls 9d to 2s. Ryegrass—ls 6d to 2s 3d. Flour—£9 per ton. 1001b bags £9 lOs, 501b bags £9 15s. 251b bags £10. Bran —£4 15s local. Pollard—£6 per ton. Oat—ieal—£l4 per ton. Oatsheaf Chaff—£3 15s for good samples. Peas—Partridge to 3s 6d, Prussian - Blues 2s 6d to 2s 9d. Beans—3s to 3s 3d. Lrasecd—£B -Os to £9.
DAIRY PBODUCE. There are no changes to note in dairy produce. The accumulated stocks of dairy produce,- which were blocked by the strike, have now been got away, and the cool stores have boen relieved. Local prices are recorded as under: — s Butter—Factory 13d, farmers' sepa--1 rator IOJd to 11 id, dairy 9d to 9JdI Cheese—Factory 6jd. dairy 6d, loaf ' 62d. Bacon—Sides 91d, rolls 10} d, hams 12d. Honey—Extracted 3d per lb. Eggs— lOd per-dozen.
