BANK'S LOSSES AND SYNDICATE'S GAIN. (By Cabla.—Presa Association.—Copyright.) (Received December sth, 11.50 p.m.) LONDON, December 5. It is announced in London that a powerful syndicate has acquired from the Specie Bank £3,000,000 worth of silver, held by London brokers. BOMBAY, December 5. There has been a sensational revelation in connoxion with tho Specie Bank. It has already lost £500,000 in silver speculations, and will probably lose another £200,000 upon stocks in the hands of London brokers. A petition has been presented to wind up the affairs of tho Bombay Merchants' Bank.
