ALL SAINTS CHURCH, SUMNER.
A SUCO-SSFUL BAZAAR. A b*iaaf in aid of All Saints' Church Vicarage Fund was opened in the Town Hall, Sumner, yesterday afternoon, by the Mayor (Mr G.'W.'.C. Smitbson), who read a telegram from the new vicar-elect (tho Rev. Mackenzie Gibson, of Waimate), wk-ing the bazaar every success, and also one from the late vicar (the Rev. H. S. Leach), regretting his inability to bo present. After explaining the object of tl * bazaar, the Mayor formally declared it open, and the stallholders at once commenced to dispose of their goods. The various stalls are crowded with useful and appetising .articles, and in addition there is a bran-tub, fortune teller, shooting range, Christians tree, etc. The bazaar will be open this afternoon and evening. The following are in charge of the -talis: —Refreshments; Mrs Black and tlie Misses Willett, Wood, . Armitago, .McDowell, Hall, and TVentyman. Produce: Mesdames Mills and FountainBarber, and the Misses Hayward and Wood. Girls' Friendly Society Stall: ¥ rs /v. ( i- and members of the G.i.b. Flowers: Mesdames Harris and Neville Sweets: Me-dames Smithson, Tait, Misses Benson, and Loasby. Work: Mesdames Wood, Carper and Benjaonin. Fortune-telling: Mrs toneU. Christmas tree: The Misses. E. and M. Marquet, Adley, Keig, F. Smith, and G. Beaven. Bran-tub: Mrs iMarcantem. Shooting-range: Me___ I Ba-sett, Massey and Lindroos.
