HINDUS IN CANADA.
SMUGGLING PLOT REVEALED. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyrirht.) (Received December Srd, 9.15 p.m.) . OTTAWA, December 3. A smuggling plot to secure the entrance of large numbers of Hindus into Canada has been discovered at Vancouver. Four incoming Hindus, who were arrested, perjured themselves by stating that they had been in Vancouver previously, and wore now returning from India.
A Hindu priest is alleged to have supplied the men with maps and sufficient local detail to enable them to pae* the immigration investigation. It is understood that hundreds of others were ready to follow if the firet four had not been discovered.
