SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
Mr D. C. uates, Government Meteorologist*, supplied the following .weather summary and forecast at 5 p.m. yesterday:— Tbo weather hae been unsettled atm showery, with strong, eoutherly wind* predominating. The barometer has risen, but la still below normal everywhere. Present indications * are for moderately Btron" variable- winds, but northerliea ax« likely to prevail and increase coon, especially over tlio North Island. Dull and misty weather is probable, with further general ra.n following, and the barometer falling again shortly.
