Owing to the trade holding short supplies, competition was good, and prices wero a shade higher than last week's rates. Best bullocks £13 to £15, extra to £17 os, medium £10 5s to £12, light £8 to £10. best heifers £11 to £13 10s, good £9 10s to £10.155, light ajid inferior £5 16s to £8. Fat S^ieep—l--00 were penned. This number was short of requirements, and competition was very keen. Prices for prime wethers and ewes advanced 2s per head, while medium and inferior sorts wcre'ls to ls 6d per head higher. Best wethers in wool 26s to 335, medium 23s to 255, best shorn wethers 26s to 28s, good 23s to 245, medium.2os to 21s 6d, best ewes in wool 25s to 27s 6d, medium 20s to 22s 6d, best shorn-ewes 203 to 225, extra to 275, good 19s to 21s, medium to inferior 15s to 18s. Fat lambs—Only 93 were penned. There was a strong demand, and prices, as comnared with last week's, were Is 6d to __3 6d hfcher. Best 21s to 23s 3d, good 18s 6d to 20s, medium 155,6 d to 16s 6d.
