WAIMATE. December 2

■ At a meeting of the Waimate branch of the Farmers' Union, the following resolution was agreed to and ordered to be sent to the Prime Minister:— "That we, the farmers of the Waimate district, desire to convey to the Prime Minister our appreciation of the statesmanlike manner in which he has guided the destinies of the Dominion during one 6f the most critical experiences the Government has had to pass through, and we are prepared to stand by the Prime Minister in giving effect to the present law of arbitration for emnlpjers and employees to appeal to."
