ALLEGATIONS OF FLOGGING.
ENQCIRY DEMANDED.
(By Cable.— Press Association.—CopyiigbU • PIETERMAMTZBCRG, Dec. 1. A thousand Indians met in the Hindu Temple, and passed a resolution requesting the appointment of a Commission of Enquiry* into the flogging charges. One speaker asked which they placed the greatest, reliance in, the word of Lord Gladstone or of Gokhalc? The former was simply a. puppet in the hands of General Smuts. The meeting concluded with three cheers for Ghandhi and one for King George.
