Official just issued, show that despite her small population Bulgaria possesses by far the greatest number of centenarians of all the countries of Europe. Among her four and a half millions of people there are 3853 persons of at least 100 years of age. Other countries return the following figures: — 1074-centenarians; Servia. 6?3: Spain, 410; Prance, 213; Italy, 197; England, 92; Russia, 89; Germany, 76; Norway, 23; Spain, 10; Belgium, 5; Denmark, 2; and Switzerland, nil. The longevity of Bulgarians }$ supposed to be associated with the eating of "janrt" » sort of solidified soar, milk or curd, obtained by fermentation. ..-,... ■.".■,.•
