SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

The monthly meeting of the Sonthbridgo District High School Committee was held on Monday, when \he following members were present: —Rev. H. Q. Hawkins (chairman), Messrs E. Inwood, G. Hubbard. M. Curran, and R. B. B. Willis. The head master reported that the average daily attendance for the month in the primary department was 188.4 and in the secondary department 16.5.' The Chairman stated that a complaint had been made to him that 11JS3 Tulloch's room was not particularly healthy, and children were suffering in consequence. The secretary v&& instructed to write to the Board of Education on the matter. It was decided to close the school for the Christmas vacation for five weeks, commencing on December 23rd.
