AUCKLAND, December 2. At the Supreme Court, his Honour Mr Justice Edwards eentonoed Arthur Nicholson to five years' imprisonment for attempted wife-murder, and Eon-' aid Duncan to seven years for-rape, of a girl whom he had taken for a/trip in a motor-car- .._, in the former cane his Honour es> pressed sympathy with tho prisoner, who was deserted by his wife, without being given any reason*
