THE WAITEMATA.

CREW REPORTED TO BE COMING OUT.

Advices received in Christchurch yesterday from what are believed to bo reliable sources in Timaru were to the effect that the crew of the Waitemata, iaden with Newcastle coal, part of which has been unloaded, will come out to-day. The Waitemata has on board 500 tons of coal for Christchurch, and in the event of the coal not being unloaded some coal merchants in Christchurch will be put to considerable inconvenience, as they were relying upon this shipment to replenish their stocks. It is reported that much of the Waitomata's coal was required for threshingmachines, and that unless further supplies come to hand threshing operations will be seriously affected.
