OBSCENE LANGUAGE.
On Friday last, Mary Ann Seymour, an elderly woman, saw somo special constables, and the abuse* «-bo qnolied lo i..i*_r., we-; of such a nature i„a_ Ear/as before Mr 11. W. Bishop, S.M.. at tho Magistrate's Court yesterday morning, on a charge of using obscene language. Accused pleaded not guilty, but the evidence of two special constables and Sergeant Jackson established hor guiit. After looking at the accused's record, the magi*"rata sentenced her to fourteen days* hard labour, without the option of a fine.
