SHORTAGE OF AMMUNITION,

Daring the loan debate in tho Chamber of Deputies, a sensation was caused by M. Lefevre, a Radical ex-Minister, declaring that when the Kaiser landed at Tangier somo years ago tho French Army in Morocoo. was not in a position to - back up the Government's diplomacy owing to want of ammunition. They had only 703 bullets por rifle.
,M. Barthou admitted that at times the Army had been neglected, and it was now necessary to mako up for waste time.
