Ran has fallen in most parts of the country, and oonsidcxrble snow on tho ranges in parts of the South Island. Fr-o-hes are reported in tho rivers on tho West Co-st. The barometer has fallen very, low in the South—?B.Bin. being reported yesterday at the Bluff. Present indications are for heavy rain in moH part, of the country, enow on the higher level*, with rivers rising. The,barometer is unsteady, but- will probably rso temporarily soon; rtxong westerly winds changing to southerlies.
