URWS .SB<*_____ TKUtORAII') DUNEDIN, November »_' I Interviewed this morning, Mr J. R-. Scott, secretary for tho South. Mw»-» Dairy Association, said.--»-'*Tha_k_ ,'to the excellent arrangement* mado by„tho shipping companies, wo. aro now. getting dairy produce away in a. most satisfactory manner, and by next.week wo shall bo at normal conditions. In.. fact, we aro about this now. Tho Xfti Ora leaves Bluff to-day with tho. following on board:—2637 crate* cheese, and 7340 boxes butter, all rallod from Dunedin shipping factories, andl/Bs__t cratea of checae from the Bluff f "a total of 11,572 crates of cheese _nd 7340 boxes of butter. The value of the shipment is over £50,000. all of which, will be in tho producers' hands early _ noxl week, as it was sold f.o.b* to yarr--ous -buyers. By tho Rimutaka at tho Bluff next week I shall ship another GOOO crates of cheeso from Bluff, ship-■ pers, and about 4000 boxes of .huttor will bo'railed from Dunedin. to her shortly. I shall ship another crates of cheese nnd COOQ boxes of "butter.. at Dunedin. Tho Kia Ora, in addition ' to dairy produce, has some 80Q0 crates j of frozen rabbits, partly railed from ' Otago, also a large shipment flax. ta]low, and many other things, in-, ; eluding oven a valuable lot of sealskin*' > in cask-, so that our export trade is well maintained, despite this disastrous,' foolish, and utterly unwarrantabla strike. Our Canterbury factories tarn getting all dairy produce away by theRimutaka and other steamers, .and 1 feel sure that the producers- m the country will fully recognise that the*, shipping companies are doing weirfor as. Indeed, in spite -of threat difficulties they aro daily facing, I am * quito hopeful that al! will go well Tfowj with the oxoort trado, which brings us. money wo all need." . \
