MANDOLIN ORCHESTRA.
The farewell concert to Mr Joseph "Wrjgut, g.v_n by uio Chri-tcburca Manualm Orchestra in tne King a T_eatre on Saturday night attracted a good audience. Tiie programme was an elaborai. one, and contained in addition to several orchestral numbers, eolo items, vocal selections, ana a humorous recitation. The full orchestra essayed somo b:_ work, tho most d-_.* cult as well as tiie most successful of which being a descriptive fantasia, "Gipsy Lite-." This was in six movements, and the characterns'.ics of each were well brought out. Other items by the orchesira were "March Militaire" .____ m), "Bohemian Girl" selections,' "B'.vjo Danube" waltz, aa intermezzo, "Just an Easy Motion and "H.M S. Pinafore" selections. Mr Joseph WrifT .t excelled in a nmndo'collo solo "Chnrit dv Soir" (Bnra), an'l Mr D'Arcy W-ight was also successful in a banjo sole, "Piece Caratisque" (Mbrley). A mandolin quintet, "G-ood Bye" (Tostil by Mrs t\'ri_ .t. s.nd Me?__i Loon Si_\ TV. A. East, D'Arcv Wright, and Joseph Wriirht was played most fc-chingly. EnioynV.e voc.nl itorns were a sons.. "Tell Mc Mv TT'*-.-t," by Mi..- Myrtle Twose. n duet, "Fl-w Gon'-.H- Drva"" by Me. .1. Petty and OWs. w. o p. ye ir Watcli-ran.
