NORMAL CONDITIONS IN SIGHT.

AUCKLAND, WELLINGTON, AND LYTTELTON WHARVES FULLY MANNED.

STRIKE LEADERS BEFORE THE COURT.

CORINTHIC AND MAUNGANUI CREWS GO BACK.

WELLINGTON DEFENCE COMMITTEE MANIFESTO.

NO DEALINGS WITH FEDERATION.

POSITION UNCERTAIN IN SYDNEY.

ASTOUNDING MISREPRESENTATIONS BY STRIKE EMISSARY.

In some respects it may bs said that the strike is over. Great activity continues on the Wellington and Auckland wharves, and in the former port work was proceeding with exceptional vigour, a score of steamers being worked. In Lyttelton work proceeded smoothly and without disorder. To all intents and purposes normal conditions prevail in all three ports in this respect. The strike in other industries has practically ended, although some of the local drivers remain out. . ' The cases of the strike leaders came before the magistrate in Wellington yesterday. The case of Young, the president of the Federation, was dealt with, but the magistrate postponed his decision. Bailey and Fraser were bound over to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. The hearing of the cases against Semple, Holland, and Barker were further postponed. The crews of the Maunganui and Corinthic repented of their decision to strike, and returned to work. The Maunganui sailed for Sydiiey and the Corinthic for Lyttelton. In Sydney it is thought possible that the strike may extend to the Huddart, Parker boats. Parry, the Federation's delegate to Sydney, has been circulating astounding falsehoods concerning the happenings in connexion with the strike. The Wellington Citizens' Defence Committee has issued a manifesto in which it announces that it will not meet, negotiate, treat, or confer with the Federation of Labour or any representative thereof.
