A MURDER MYSTERY

At the enquiry into the murder of Thomas Williams, a one-legged farmer living alone at Waroona, whose body was exhumed last week on his own farm, the evidence showed that Williams was last seen on September sth. A few weeks previously he had engaged Charles Odgers as helper. On September 13th Odgers wag in possession of a horse and cart, and » rifle belonging to Williams. He said the latter was selling the horee and cart. Odgers rode to the residence of Mrs Molyneaux, whom it is alleged he shot, and then attempted to commit suicide by exploding a dynamite cap in his mouth. He was found two days later in the scrub nearly dead. Odgers, who has recovered, saye the shooting of the woman was accidental. He had never eeen or known Williams. Williams's skull was smashed.
