Mr D. C. Bates, Government Meteorologist applied the following weather summary and f during the nieht SSt has shown a falling tendency in the Soulh to<iay. W«t to «>uth-weeterly winds, strong to gale, have prevailed, with cloudy- and nneettled weather generally and heavy showers, especially on the western coastal district*. Present indications are for high and eoru&ny westerly winds, with cloudy end unsettled weather, and heavy rain in meet parte of the country. The barometer ie unsteady, end ie likely to fall etill lower in the South.
