FEDERATION'S AMBASSADOR.
A COLOURED STATEMENT.
(By Cable. —Press Association—Cot>yright.) SYDNEY. November 28. Mr Parry, representing the New Zealand Federation of Labour, addressed the Sydney Labour Council last night. Hβ said the coal miners and watersiders had been forced into the dispute. For two years the employers had been raising money for the purpose of smashing unionism by means of bogus unions. After the present dispute began the men stated their willingness to negotiate with the employers, but when they met the Employers' Federation the men found the Premier was on the side of the employers. They might just as well have a wooden block for a Premier. They had been promised that special constables would not bo allowed to promenade while tho parties were negotiating, but the first night of tho conference "specials" were shooting down unionists in the street in an attempt, as they believed, to intimidate the union representatives. Mr Massey evidently decided in favour of tno Employers' Federation before the conference was held. The employers had taken up the attitude that though they themselves could organise in any manner they desired, the workers should not be permitted to do so. The two delegates of tho New Zealand Federation will interview the coal miners and trimmers at Newcastle tonight.
