(By Cable.—Preee Aeeoeiatioo—Copyright) LONDON, November 28.
At the Empire Parliamentary banquet at the Savoy Hotel, to welcome the Parliamentary delegation oh their return., Lord Haldane, who presided, said the visit had done something to draw closer the oversea and British Parliaments. They had much to learn from the oversea Dominions. Australia, with a Labour Government, handled defence in a way that surprised and edified Britain. Ho stated, also, that it was notable that' New South Wales and Victoria dealt with education in a spirit of enlightenment, which he hoped the Motherland would cne day realise.
Lord Emmott paid a tribute to -Jβ lavish hospitality displayed. The outstanding fact was that for good or ill tho future of the Empire must rest on a democratic basis. The .Empire must stand for just labour conditions.
