MEETINGS AND SOCIAL GATHERINGS.
The Chrietchurch Pigeon Club met on Wednesday evening in the new club rooms, 18S Gloucester street, Mr F. Kibblewbite presiding over a lartje attendance of members. Tho following judges were elected for the 1914 show: —Mr Wm. Fraser. Drag-oone and A.W.; Mr Alick Froser, Frills; Mr W. H. McKe'nzie, Turn biers and Magpies; Mr G. Anderson, Show Homers. The chairman announoed Ibat Mr W. B. McKenzie would deliver a paper on "Frills," on.December JOtli. It was decided to- commence tho "club chows" on the enrnc d?te, tho classes set down being Owls (African and English), Turbits. and Oriental Frills. . Tho Hope of Chriptch-urch I/sdge 1.0. G.T. held its weekly session on Tuesday, C.T. Sic. Mardon presiding. The 'programme. "A night in the Old Plantation," wus in charge of Si". Cnddv. and eo-tru r.nd recitations ■were given as follow:—Sifters May Sweeney, Cuddy, P. Cuddy, R. Chamberlain, Bros. Oimr.Ml, Hnrper, and Mr Cuddy. A vote of sympathy wee paesed with the relatives of the late Mr George Lauronson, M.P.
