AMUSEMENTS. "80-PEEP" TO-MORROW NIGHT. Owini; to the industrial troubles, the Hoval i'aauHuiruo Company were un.■ibie to -ship their sconory at "tVellingion yesUTUay, and in consequence the .menin" niuJit of their Chnstchurcb. .M-ason in tne Theatre Royal has been deferred until to-morrow night. The company has been engaged for a tour of New Zealand by Alessrs George Stephenson and Alf. Linley. The openin" production will be "lio-Peep, with which Mr Stanley McKay scored a success in Australia, his company having played it for three years in the various States there. It is claimed for this •'pared of fun and frivolity" that it ■will be staged and dressed in a manner equal to anything seen here previously. The company numbers over fifty periormers, and new costumes have been made for tho tour.by Zenda, of Sydney. The scenery also has been specially painted by the well-known artist, Mr iiarry Wllaite. Playgoers will be able to judge ior themselves of the result of his work in the transformation scene in "80-Peen" —the "Four Seasons." The music* contains much of the "catchy" order, and the musical numbers h.ave caught on everywhere they have been sung, and are claimed to bo" superior to those in many recent musital comedy successes. Mr liarry Taylor, the musical director, is responsible lor most of them, and they maintain liis reputation as a popular 6ong ■writer. The eeason here will be a limited one, as the company is due to return to Australia shortly to take up its regular engagements: A matinee will be held on Saturday afternoon, when children will be admitted halfprico to all parts of the house.
