WAIMATE.

The funeral of the late Mr Frank Bennington, who was choirmaster of the Methodist Church at Waimate, took place yesterday. At the Church service, three hymns were sung, and tho readings and prayers were divided by the Revs. G. F. Stbckwcll and A. S. Morrison. After the benediction, the congregation stood whilst the "Dead March" was played. The funeral procession was led by the choir, who sang several hymns en route to the cemetery, including "Shall We Gather at the River." The choir also sang at tho graveside. The town clerk C.
